About
I often tell people I’m an astronomical bore. I’m absolutely nuts about astronomy and also writing apocalyptic thrillers. You can’t shut me up about either.
I have enjoyed writing stories all my life.
I received my first telescope for Christmas 2005. Since then I’ve enjoyed many nights, freezing until I couldn’t stand it anymore, looking at the delights of the Universe and the magical wonders of alien worlds.
I started my career in computing, but presently work at a college helping students to improve their numeracy and English skills. The rest of my time is worked around my writing.
I live in Northumberland, England, with my husband and three cats. Whenever possible, we (not the cats) like to go walking in the magnificent Northumberland hills and mountain biking at Kielder Forest.
My choice of genre stems from my love of apocalyptic thrillers and the ‘What if?’ scenario.
I strive to give the reader a rollercoaster ride of emotions and excitement, mixed in with a good dash of fear – all from the safety of their armchair.
